The Story of Mr. Timber

Heidegger’s philosophy provides an understanding of the modern world, where Das Man dominates over any other possibility of revealing. Now imagine a land where the reverse is true: no ruling of Das Man, but a world where infinite possibilities blend with one another, a world that is interpreted and reinterpreted, and never fully the same..

There was once an old cozy creature who lived in an old cozy creaturous house, not quite in the middle of an old cozy creaturous forest. Mr. Timber was a simple, but special creature.

Mr. Timber enjoyed his daily walks through the forest. With every walk he would discover new creatures, in all sorts of shapes and colors. He would also come across shapes that were not so shapy and distinguishable by their not so colory colors.

In all his walks, Mr. Timber rarely saw the exact same creature more than once. This is perhaps because Mr. Timber never walked down the same path more than once. And so every walk would be different. Also the way he walked was always different.

Yes, Mr. Timber was a special creature. A special creature that truly felt at home in the world.

Until another day. It was on this other day that Mr. Timber would walk so far as to reach the very end of the creatourous forest. Beyond this end, Mr. Timber would see, only in the blink of an eye, the Land of Sameness.

Mr. Timber was a curious creature, and so decided to step into this rather strange non-creaturous land. But what he did not realize was that by stepping into this land he would actually be stepping outside the world. And that what he considered strange in the blink of an eye would soon become the opposite. What he thought would be different would soon become the same.
